Welcome to Heartland.  Jim and I are the owners of Heartland Cafe-Catering & Bakery.  We began as Heartland Catering 16 years ago and have continued to grow from there.  Jim graduated from Creighton Prep in 1969 and I from Marian in 1970.  We met at UNO and were married in 1972.  We have lived in Elkhorn since 1985 in Greenbrier.  We have 3 wonderful grown children, T.J., Ryan and Becky whom is married to Terry Wieneke.  T.J. is a pilot in Saudi Arabia, Ryan is employed at Enfields in Elkhorn, Becky is a first grade teacher at Manchester Elementary in Elkhorn and Terry is employed at Skinner Plumbing.  Then Ta...da... along comes the fantastic grandchildren, Chloe, Cory, Hailey, Breanna, Lilly and Tucker.  So, you ask, "what do you enjoy"?  And we have to answer. " Relaxing and enjoying the Nebraska Life. "  For this business keeps us hoppin busy.  Plus Jim and I  enjoy being together with bike rides, snow skiing, concerts, visiting the towns of Estes Park or San Franscisco, and most of all being with our family and friends.  We look for simple pleasures like, watching the sunset or the magic of a rain storm roll in,  Life is good, just sit back and enjoy!!!
